Eragon's New Home

Today Eragon got a new home. I think his home is really really neat. He has 3 new things: A block thingy, real wood, and fake wood. Instead of a flooring pad, there is some sand. He likes crickets. It was supposed to be for the fish or Bubba the turtle (known as BTT).

Today In Art

Today in art we made 3D sculptures with paper. It was very fun to do. I glued my sculptures on constrution paper . I made my sculptures look like springboards, and they bounce up and down. I also made sculptures look like big swirls.

We made it!

Today we got a letter from the Scranton Yankees.
We're going to sing the National Anthem at one of the games this season.
Yay!
Everybody is so excited. All the students were cheering when we got the news.
Now we just have to wait to get the exact date for our performance.

ski day

On Tuesday I went skiing. I met Zoe and Claire. Matthew ditched me. Roy and Nick left me too. I was stuck with the girls. We went down the Tunkhannock then went to Kickapoo. Zoe and me could not catch up to Claire even though we were not on the moguls. Zoe and me went to stop for a minute and her cousin went dumb. He would not come to me or Zoe. Zoe got stuck in the trees. I got her out after I took off my skies. She followed her cousin.

Crazy Hair Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is crazy hair day. Crazy hair day is when you put your hair in a weird way. I have my hair in 3 pigtales. It is fun. It is also Backwards day and crazy hat day. I wore my shirt and pants backwards. I wore my coat backwards, but it was uncomfortable. I'm realy excited for tomorrow! Everyone gets to wear pajamas, even in gym.

My report on skating

My skating report is about how I, Rachel started. I started when I was 3 years old. I learned to skate at The Ice Box in Scranton. The Ice rink is a basketball court now. I have three books one is about a girl named Emily Hughes, and Super SKATERS world Figure SKATING Stars is about Oksana Baiul, Nicole Bobek,Brian Boitano,Shae Lynn Bourne and Vicetor Kraatz,Isabelle Brasseur and Llotd Eisler,Philippe Candeloro,Lu Chen,Todd Eldredge,Rudy Galindo,Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei . My skates are sharp . You can try at the Revolution rink. My sister is still skating. There are spin's like sit spin, camel, two foot spin, one foot spin, layback. Jumps like a wall's jump, axial, lop, split jumps.There are a lot of things you can do on ice skates. The hockey team will never ever stop to let the figure skaters on. The ice skaters have to practice to go to the competitions everywhere. The ice will get very bumpy and they do nothing to the ice. The boss has to tell the zamboni people. They still do nothing about it and they whated to yell at the boss.

THE SUPER DUPER HAT

Once long ago there was a man named George. He liked hats. One day he bought a hat for $100.56. He went home and put the hat on and he turned invisible. Then he stowed away on a plane to San Fransisco, so he could see the Golden Gate Bridge. When he saw it, he was soooo happy and excited. (He knew this because he was wearing a mood ring and the colors showed him that he was soo happy and excited) He went to go get a hotel room and he turned invisible so he could sneak in a room. He was a very miscivious guy, but he got caught. How, you may ask? Well lets just say that there was a crime in the room. Jamaica

In Jamaica I colected shells. I also swam .
One day I went with my mom and my aunt on a raft. We raced to land.
My mom did not know we were having a race so we zoomed past her.
We won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my new quads

I picked out a quad on Thursday after school. It is called The Out Law it is so cool it says Out Law on it and it has a skull wearing a cowboy hat like I said it is sooooooo cool. My brother already picked his out before me so his should come in before mine. I picked out a lime green helmet and black gloves an some green goggles. Getting these quads will give me and my family some time to spend together because with my baby sister we never get any time to spend together. I live in the mountains so there are trails to follow so it will be really fun. Oh did i mention that mine goes 90 miles an hour but my very precausious mom won't let me go that fast but i will ask my dad and he will probbaly say I could go that fast. When i found out that my dad was getting me quads i was at toys r us shopping for my brothers birthday with Megan when my mom told me I dropped down on my knees saying thank you a thousand times I was soooooo happy and surprised. Our quads should be coming in very soon I am sooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!

Painting!

Today in Art Class we learned how to do Chinese Brush Painting.

There is a whole lot to learn about using the brush.

First you dip the tip of your brush in a little water. 

Not much, just enough so that your brush gets a perfect point.

Than we tried painting with water on paper towels. 

To learn how to use the brush and have control over it.

Then you dip it in ever so little black paint. Just enough to make the tip black.

Again we tried painting on a piece of paper towel.

To clean the brush you "paint out the paint" on a piece of paper towel. 

Dip it slightly in water and paint out the remaining paint.

With this type of brush you can make really fine lines.

Our Finds in the Owl Pellet

Yes! It was owl pellets that we were disecting Monday and Tuesday.
Since pellets is what the owl regurgitates after eating, it of course holds a lot of pieces of bones.
We are now trying to put the bones together so that we can get the skeletons as complete as possible, and then we can determine what kind of animal it belongs too. Real detective work in other words!

Matching the bones to the right place in the skeleton can be a little tricky!

There's a lot of little bones to match.

The head is on!

Look at this! The skull is almost complete.

And all the pieces were found in the owl pellet.

Amazing!

New Place!

Eragon has moved to a bigger place.

He's growing fast so he really needed a bigger terrarium.

Thanks to M's mom who brought it in for us!

Buster was my dog, he died when I was four. He liked the mailman, he used to get treats from him! Then I was born he hated everybody but my family. But he was still good.
