The fat turkey vs the smelly monsters

A long time ago there were some smelly monsters . 100 year 's later there were fat turkey's . The fat turkeys were in sport's car's . They found the smelly monsters and started to slap the smelly monsters .The monster's didn't like it so they took a fat turkey and cooked him for dinner . But in the middle of their battle a big fat smelly troll came out of the ground and started to slap the monsters and the turkeys. The troll randomly shouted '' My name is Mr Slappy!" and then he farted and went flying. And he also Knocked Out monsters and turkeys. Some people found Mr Slappy and brought him to jail. When the smelly monsters and the fat turkeys woke up they saw smelly vampires and fat cows fighting. The smelly monsters and the vampires joined sides. The fat turkeys and the fat cows joined sides. Then they had a big war. One of the vampire's got flattened by a fat cow. Then one of the monsters got angry and cut 20 cows. Then Mr Slappy got out of jail and made it rain cabbages and potato's. They started to hit them. Then it started to rain and thunder.Then Mr Slappy got hit by lightning and blew up Mr Slappy.Then they started to fight again. Then a demented walrus named Nick and a demented robot named Sam came. The walrus was very smelly. So the monsters and vampires liked him ,and the robot was very fat so the cows and the turkeys liked him. The vampires and the monsters jumped on the walrus and the walrus swam down to the bottom of the ocean and hit his head on coral and died. Then the robot went down to the bottom of the ocean but the robot was electronic so he shocked the cows, the turkeys, monsters and vampires. They all died !

Intermediate viking project by dakotah and katie.

Our class is working on our Viking project, so Anki put us into families. One of the families are Dakotah, Matthew, Rachel and Katrina. Anki put us in to a different kind of group and this kind of group and there are different things to do like looking up information on the computer , looking up information in books , writing the information that is on the computer , writing the information that's in books. We are researching the long house. We are also looking up food that vikings ate and how they get meat, store meat and veggies, and find them. We are making people, like how they work and building miniature long houses. Some of us are learning how to write in viking language , you know a's and c's you have to write them in lines instead of curving them because the vikings wrote in wood or stone normally. They'll make their own equipment like baskets, cloths, and weapons for example they'll'use sheep wool, cow horns, and really thin but sturdy sticks. You can make a long house out of wood and hay, hay for the roof and wood for the walls (they don't use floors because of animals). It turns out house wife is the most important job because when the husband is fighting she watches the children, the house, and the animals so that they don't get stolen. Do you know that vikings are still alive? That's right, they are still alive. How you may think? They live through descendants. If your from Ireland you may well be a viking. There are some other places too. Certain jobs are house wife, farmer, trader, sailor, chief, and priest. Some vikings go to other villages and take people captive. Lucky ones get to be slaves, others...ya you know. Aaah I'm bleeeding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Smelly Old Troll 2

I am 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 years old and I live in a new home. It is a hobo's sock. He got a new pet too Barny. He killed his poker friends in war.His ear got infected. A red Helephant attacked the guards in the crown of fire. The troll ran though. The guard was trying to get the troll but they were trapped. He called time out and went to BK. They waited and waited. By the time they noticed it was 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 years later.Alex ran into battle and died in two seconds.His body was thrown off the edge.Matthew was furry.Matthew was 1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 years old and Jack was his brother who was 222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222 years old. Tyler died 9 years later.

New Class Room

We reorganized the class room to make smaller rooms within the room.

This way we hope that the class room will be a better place to study.

The smaller, and more separated, groups will hopefully help keep the noise down while working, but will still let the students work in pairs or groups and being able to discuss their work.

It also gives opportunities to find reading nooks for our everyday silent reading time.

The kids seem to like the "new" classroom.

And we do too!

The Burger King Killer

Once there was a Burger King who was very rich. One night in his burger castle he heard a noise. It was the McDonalds Clown. He was enemies with The Burger King. So he threw a poison burger at The Burger King. Then The Burger King was dead. The next day the cops came, he said ''I am Cop Chase.'' He showed the clowns records. It turns out his was killing people all around the world. But he always left clues where he did. His first clue was at the Great Wall of China. The detective named Alex , a.k.a Ghost, found the first clue. He said that it read'' You will never find me in Brazil.'' So Cop Chase and Ghost flew to Brazil. In the jungle they met a bug finder Matt, a.k.a Buttersock. He said ''I found a clue that said you will never find me in England''. They flew to England and found a detective named Sir Walrus. Sir Walrus found a clue that said you will never find me in my hide out in Canada. So Cop Chase, Ghost, Buttersock, and Sir Walrus flew to Canada. When they got to Canada they called some cops. They searched for the clowns hideout they found it on the side of a mountain. The cops waited outside so he could not escape. They found the clown and chased him out the cops caught him. They took him to jail for life.

A long long time ago there was Underwear man and a poison pen that Underwear man carried a round. There was also the Evil man. He always carried a RPD with a grenade launcher on it, and the Weird guy carried an ice cream cone. We all don't no why. But he did. They got in a fight with Ice creme man and Fat man and a Smelly hand .They all went to the slapping tournament, Underwear man, Evil man, and Weird man. They won the tournament. But Ice cream man did not like it so he called a rematch. They all went to sleep. They all turned into fat chickens. They all woke up but they didn't know they were fat chickens. They went to the rematch and they all noticed that they were all fat chickens. They fainted. The people that were watching went home. When they woke up no one was there to watch them fight. So they went home. They went to sleep and they woke up a 1,000,000 years later. No-one ever thought they would wake up again, but they did. And they all tried to fight but they could not fight.

One day 200,000 years from now a comet of two elements, water and fire, crashed down over the earth. Out of it came two small crystals who will one day evolve to heros.

[Place: coast of England year 4010.] "Where are we Starfire"?Came a voice. A small girl came out of the comet. "I don't know", Said the girl. All of a sudden a small head popped out of the wreck. A baby dragon! "Wow" I thought. "This doesn't look like the dragon and fairy realm" said the dragon. "I know Water tornado". Said Starfire the fairy. "Well lets unpack" said Starfire. The odd creatures brought out a house! "Now what ,they'll get out a skating rink"? I thought. "Hey Starfire lets take out the skating rink" said Water Tornado."Oh wow" I thought. Should I show myself to them? I thought."Hey whos that kid behind that rock Starfire"? said Water tornado. I ran away. "Whats with her"? said Starfire. Well I'm turning in for the night" They both said at once. "Water tornado wake up"Said Starfire."W-where are we"? Asked Water tornado."I don't know all I remember is going to sleep" said Starfire. (Setting: animal control)." We're in a cage, maybe we can combine our powers to blast outta here" said Starfire. BOOOOOOOM! "O.K we're out" Said Starfire. WEEEEEEEEOWEEEEEO! "The alarms have sounded!" Screamed Water tornado. They ran into a room."Hello lower life forms,as you can see you are in animal control.Give up." "We will not give up. What if they want us out ?" Said Starfire. "I know Starfire, Said water tornado. "Water tornado, are you worried?"Asked Starfire. "Well, would you be if you found this?" Water tornado held out a spell book and a paper that read: Kill dragon. Then use the girl as an apprentice and make her do evil deeds. So I'll bring her companion back to life and after that the dragon will turn evil, and either kill the girl or turn her evil. "Lets leave"They both said. (setting: pacific ocean) Water Tornado flew over the pacific. "OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" screached Water Tornado. A shark bit her wing. She fell down and nearly would've drowned if she weren't water type. She grabbed Starfire and threw her ashore. "We need help! Star Fire thought. Lets go get help! But where"? "Hello! You two need help?" "Yes"said Star Fire. Water tornado growled a low menacing growl."Do I know you?" she asked. "No you don't know me." "If you need help, get in my truck". "Ok "said Star Fire. "No" said Water Tornado. The strange man gestured for one to come in. "You first WT" said Star Fire. "I gueeeeesss....." said Water Tornado. Water tornado walked in the truck that was beside the man. The truck drove away. "MUAHAHA LOWER LIFE FORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" said the man now wearing an animal control uniform. "HELP HELP! Oh wait -I'm a dragon! "BOOM!" Piece of cake. Uh oh, a magic proof cage is falling on me!" Screatched water tornado. $###$%@ Setting :anti hero society Under the city of New York in a castle "??????????????" Water Tornado thought." Puffy clouds, castles high ?! Am I dead and in heaven?" said Water Tornado. OH NO! STARFIRES BEING TURNED EVIL. I HAVE TO STOP HER" said Water Tornado. She flew down from heaven to stop Starfire. No Starfire don't say yes! I'm still half alive and in heaven" "Ok said Starfire. I'll arrest the man."

The Museum

A few weeks ago we heard about a Lego contest from our Art teacher Michael. So at home I started to work on it. I made a space station. Then I took a picture of it and gave it to Michael. Mine was chosen by our class to be judged by the people at the museum. And if I was chosen my art would be shown in a museum. And I was!!!!!! I was so happy and surprised.

My weekend

Saturday I woke and played on Club Penguin until 12:45. Then I went down stairs and played on my xbox 360. Then I played Wii sports resort for a long period of time. Then I had dinner. Then I went back down stairs and played New super mario bros on the Wii. Sunday my brother broke his ankle and I did not do it. He broke it walking home from CCD. Some guy helped him but first a lady helped him up. My mom and I shoveled the snow and put rock salt on the drive way. Then I watched Family Guy and the Cleveland show and The Simpsons.

Physics of Sound!

Today we had a visitor who showed us what sound looks like!
Yes, you can actually se sound - if you have an Oscilloscope.

The class have been working with sound in science class for a while. Today K brought her stepfather D in to show us this. He is a physics professor at the University of Scranton and he brought in some instruments and things on the matter of sound. It was a really great opportunity for the students to get to see a demonstration of sound waves. We got to listen to sound resonating cylinders, and with the oscilloscope we could also see how the waves changed if the sounds had a high pitch or a low pitch, or a high or low amplitude (volume). It was really interesting and the students remembered a lot from their sciens classes. A lot of good questions were asked too!

Thanks K for this great idea, and thanks D for coming in to show us. It was a really nice and interesting lesson!

Smelly Old Troll

A Long time ago there was a smelly troll. He lived in a big sock. He was 100 years old. The troll's name was Darth Vader and had a disturbing face. He went to war when he was 10 years old. His pet Pally died in war. He ran from war before he got killed. Darth Vader got shot in the arm. Santa ran into the war but he fell and could not get up, and when he got up he fell down the mountain. The Ores killed all the troops. The troll tied the two headed dog up. The rope was not strong enough so he broke out. The troll was miles away. Darth Vader ran for one day. Then he fell in a hole that lead to a base. Minotaurs attacked him. When he got out he fell with blood dripping down his face. He put the sword in the guards heart. The two guards fell down dead. He ran and fell in a war field. Ugly red old hags shot him with lollypops. He put a lot of lollypops in his pocket. An apple tree ran him back to the war. Red trees killed the boss. There was the boss dead on the ground. They ran to their hut and got the last resort weapon. Ike, the sword guy came and killed all the bad dudes.

My weekend

On Thursday I went to my friends house on New Years day and eve and it was fun.Mara was a little crazy.I had a lot of crazy stuff.We stayed up until 12.00.The next day Mara and I had a snowball fight.My Dad came to pick me up to go to N.J to see my brothers and my sister.It was a long ride. I fell asleep, it was cold .I ran in the house.My sister ran in too.On Saturday I woke up and ran down the stairs because I smelled food.I wanted to eat my sister Megan's food.I had eggs with toast.My brother Eric was still sleeping.Tim is eating a lot of food.Tim sister Megan will be a little crazy sometimes with her phone.Sunday at 12.00 A.M we left N.J I said bye to everyone.We had to go to the gas station to get food to go back to P.A .My Dad got tired he had to pull over to sleep.When we got home my dad went to sleep he slept for an hour.My sister Becca was annoying.

My Grandfather's Good Friend

My grandfather's good friend was Charles Lindbergh. I know, it shocked me too. I never thought my grandfather would fly and get rides from him . I even think I saw a few pictures of his plane and maybe even a few of him in my scrap book. Because last year in my old school when I was in 3rd grade for reading class we were learning about Charles Lindberg, and when I brought home a paper to study my mom told me that my grandfather knew him. I was amazed, it was a really big shock. I never knew that my grandfather's good friend was Charles Lindberg.

my birthday

Today is my birthday. I am hoping for a lot of cake decorating things. I think cake making is sooooooo much fun its my favorite thing to do on a rainy day. I am so excited i can hardly wait for my birthday party. I cant wait to see what i get. I hope I get a itunes card. I want one because my mom gave me her old i pod and I want to put some new songs on it. Hopefully all of my family members will be there like my Aunt Shannon,my Mema,and my Nana and Papa. Well thats all I pretty much have to say about my birthday.

Over Thanksgiving

On Wednesday, after school I went on the computer. Then we went to Giant then home. At home I watched TV and had dinner. I got ready for bed and called my mom and went to bed. On Thanksgiving I went to my mom's boyfriend's parent's house. There was two kids, a four year old boy Joey and a two year old girl named Ella. I was happy when I got to my grandparent's house. I saw my Aunt Amy and Uncle Shane. I got my uncle's phone number, I also saw Winston, Samson, Lily,Piper,Lola, Justin, and Maxx. I played with my dsi and with the dogs. I went outside with Uncle Shane. We went in the back and Justin ran. We ran after him, well my uncle did, I ran inside and got a flashlight then Lily and Lola were somewhere but they came back to me:).We left after dinner :(. On Friday my cousins came in. Angela,Julia,Sarah, and Stephanie They all slept at my house. Before they came I wasn't at my dad's house I was out shopping! I was with my Mom, Aunt, and Grammy. When I got with my dad we went straight down to my other grandparent's house and played with Angela. Stephanie and I went into the hallway.Then we all went out and played with Julia,then ate. After our feast we went to Nay Aug and saw the lights. Then we went to my house and made mailboxes. We took all the letters from our names and arranged them to funny names somewhat. I also made a mailbox for Haley too. Haley was popular. Then we went to bed. In the morning we played the game cube and had donuts and milk.Then Gramma called and woke dad up:(. Angela and Julia hade another sleelpover. Before the sleepover we went to Nay Aug we saw ten dogs. We ran for a half a hour. The only time we stopped was to see dogs. Then I drank one Snapple in one minute. Then we went to McDade. There.......... there was a eight year old boy yelling at a twelve year old boy. We left McDade and came to the school, then we started a kickball game and me and Angela won. Haley was with us the whole time:). Then we went to our grandparent's house and played with Spunky. Then I played with Julia. Then we all went to Kelly's Pub And Eatery. Then we got ready for bed, we watched Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. Then I went and grabbed Haley and I went to sleep. The next day Angela left :(. Then home and went to sleep. My mom picked me up at my dad's house.Then we went to go grocery shopping. Then we came home and then we decorated the house with Christmas stuff. Then we had dinner. I got ready to go to bed and called my dad and went to bed.

My dog Sam is crazy He swam after a fish in the pond. Sam is like a good guard dog. I love him. Sam is a chocolate lab. He will jump up on you .You have a new smell to him.Sam is cute. Yesterday we went to Weis. It was fun! I ordered pizza at the cafe. When I got home, I had a piece of pizza. I had a to do list and did everything on it. Then, when mom came home, we did a family night. That was fun. We did some Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports. Tomorrow we will play Namco Museum Remix. We had a lot of fun and excitement. Then I went to bed.

The Viking Age!

Today we started a new project. About the Viking age.
We're going to build a model of a Viking age village, so today we talked about what kind of houses they had, what animals they had and what people did for a living. Then we colored paper dolls to represent the persons living in our village. Everyone belongs to a family and they had to choose a name for their doll, and pick a trade.

Next week we'll work on the village.

To the right I added some web-page links for our project. These links have good, kids-oriented information about the Viking Age. Especially the one called Who were the Vikings?

Nouns and Adjectives!

We are working on our language skills.

Yesterday and today we practiced nouns and adjectives.

Every student got two cards - an adjective and a noun, then we put them together to make phrases.

Fun activity, and a lot of learning going on!

Zombies vs. Aliens

A long, long time ago there was a battle with zombies and aliens at the battle stage. Zombies blasted one of the aliens head off! Then one of the aliens chopped one of the zombies head off. It got bad, they broke out of the stage. They all went to jail. After a few days they broke out. The cops found out. But the cops couldn't find the zombies & aliens. Then they started to fight. The zombies flew to China.The aliens found out. The zombies didn't know so the aliens killed one of the zombies! The zombies were mad so they killed one of the aliens. One of the zombies lost one arm.Then it started to rain cabbages & potatoes. The zombies did not know what cabbages were. The aliens did not know what potatoes were. So they ran a way. No-one saw the zombies or aliens again.

My Christmas Break

This Christmas break I had alot of fun. On Christmas morning I woke up at 6:00A.M. because I was not allowed to wake up till 6:00A.M. I opened all of my presents in 5 minutes, I got everything I asked for. I played with all of my gifts all morning long. I ate breakfast at 11:00A.M. I was so hungry after waking up so early. My grandma came over at 1:00P.M. because she went to my cousin's house for breakfast. I got some Pokemon cards from her. Then everybody came for christmas dinner. We all played LEGO Rockband for a long time. Then we played my xbox 360 for a while. After everyone left my dad and I watched our favorite football team, the Chargers vs. Titans. The Chargers won 48 to 7. The next day my cousins from New Jersey and Conneticut came. They got here and my uncle set up my xbox live for me. After dinner we played a game called Risk. And we were up till midnight playing and we still did not finish. The next day we went to lunch and they left but my other cousins did not leave. We met them at my grandpa's house and went on his new quad. We watched football when we got home to my house. On Monday we went to my grandma's house for a little while. Than went home for dinner. On Tuesday my friend Alex came over, we played my xbox 360 for the whole time. We had dinner then he went home. I went on xbox live with my cousin after Alex left. Then on Wednesday I went to my grandma's with my cousin and we went to lunch. Then I went to my friend's house swimming we stay there till 1:00A.M. and watched a guy jump 250 feet over water and he made it. On New Years Day I went to the movies and saw ''The Blind Side''. Then I went to my Grandmas to watch the Rose Bowl. Then I went home to watch the Gator Bowl. The next day I went to get my haircut. On Saturday I went to my Grandma's to sleep over. We watched a movie called Air Bud. The next morning I went to CCD, it was boring. Then I went home and watched football.

Welcome Back!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break with lots of time with family and friends.
It's 2010, a new decade of this millennium. Wow! Those first 10 years passed really fast, didn't they?

Here in school we are ramping up for a new semester. Lot's of thoughts and nice memories from the holidays are being shared today, but it seems like the students are enjoying being back in school. It's going to be another exciting semester with lots of fun stuff happening, so be sure to check in on the blog to keep updated.
