Today we started a new project. About the Viking age.
We're going to build a model of a Viking age village, so today we talked about what kind of houses they had, what animals they had and what people did for a living. Then we colored paper dolls to represent the persons living in our village. Everyone belongs to a family and they had to choose a name for their doll, and pick a trade.
Next week we'll work on the village.
To the right I added some web-page links for our project. These links have good, kids-oriented information about the Viking Age. Especially the one called Who were the Vikings?
