Intermediate viking project by dakotah and katie.

Our class is working on our Viking project, so Anki put us into families. One of the families are Dakotah, Matthew, Rachel and Katrina. Anki put us in to a different kind of group and this kind of group and there are different things to do like looking up information on the computer , looking up information in books , writing the information that is on the computer , writing the information that's in books. We are researching the long house. We are also looking up food that vikings ate and how they get meat, store meat and veggies, and find them. We are making people, like how they work and building miniature long houses. Some of us are learning how to write in viking language , you know a's and c's you have to write them in lines instead of curving them because the vikings wrote in wood or stone normally. They'll make their own equipment like baskets, cloths, and weapons for example they'll'use sheep wool, cow horns, and really thin but sturdy sticks. You can make a long house out of wood and hay, hay for the roof and wood for the walls (they don't use floors because of animals). It turns out house wife is the most important job because when the husband is fighting she watches the children, the house, and the animals so that they don't get stolen. Do you know that vikings are still alive? That's right, they are still alive. How you may think? They live through descendants. If your from Ireland you may well be a viking. There are some other places too. Certain jobs are house wife, farmer, trader, sailor, chief, and priest. Some vikings go to other villages and take people captive. Lucky ones get to be slaves, others...ya you know. Aaah I'm bleeeding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
